Richard Hill AILFM
Richard has over 25 years’ experience working in legal practice operations, strategy, finance and business management. Richard is Operations Director at DMH Stallard, a leading and award winning South East firm with over 375 staff across 7 offices and annual revenues in excess of £42m. Richard was previously a CEO and COFA of a commercial property and litigation law firm in London’s West End.
Richard is a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA) who has a Masters Degree in Strategic Business Management. He is an Associate member of the Institute having gained ILFM qualifications in legal finance, management and procedure. He received the Wilfred Owen Award in 2007 for the highest full Associate mark.
ILFM history
Richard has been a member of the ILFM since 2005 and has sat on the ILFM Executive Council since 2007 becoming Chair in 2012 until 2015. Richard has previously authored and tutored the ILFM’s COFA training workshop and also the ILFM Cybercrime training. He co-wrote “The Route to Client Money”, a publication about Cyber Security for law firms and also co-wrote a training course and program for a major UK bank and their relationship managers.
Richard has previously been a regular commentator on legal finance, business operations and practice management topics. He wrote regularly for the Institute’s magazine Legal Abacus and other publications including the Legal Practice Management (LPM) magazine, Modern Law Magazine, the ICAEW, Legal Voice, LexisNexis and the CILEX Journal.
